Opening July 25 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum: Edo in Focus: Japanese Treasures from the British Museum.
The exhibition brings together more than 100 outstanding ukiyo-e works by eight celebrated artists, including Utamaro, Sharaku, Hokusai, and Hiroshige, alongside Edo-period folding screens, hanging scrolls, and handscrolls.
Rare paintings by artists including Utamaro, Hokusai, and Kyosai will also be on view, some returning to Japan for the first time.
Adachi reproduction ukiyo-e prints will be available at the exhibition shop near the exit.
