Choose from a variety of great value Ukiyo-e starter kits
Ukiyo-e prints are currently attracting a lot of attention due to the historical drama "Berabou." Many people have become interested in them through the drama, related books, events, etc.
The innovative compositions, ideas, and vivid colors of ukiyo-e, which were widely loved by the people of Edo, are a delight to the eyes of those of us living in the modern age. Since the broadcast, we have received many inquiries about Adachi Woodblock Prints, which continues to convey the techniques of producing ukiyo-e.

So this time, our staff carefully selected works from the Adachi edition's reprint of over 1,200 ukiyo-e prints and have prepared two types of "ukiyo-e starter kits" recommended for customers who want to decorate their homes with ukiyo-e but don't know where to start. The kits include <4 works + frame + mat + wall hook> so that even those who are purchasing woodblock prints for the first time can enjoy them from the day they arrive.

Set B: Masterpieces to enjoy throughout the four seasons: Landscape paintings by Hokusai and Hiroshige
95,700 yen (tax included)

In the late Edo period, the genre of "landscape painting" flourished when the blue paint "Bero Ai" imported from overseas made it possible to express the clear blue of the sky and water. Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige were the central figures in this genre of painting. Ukiyo-e landscape paintings, which vividly captured famous places from all over the country, became a huge hit throughout Edo. Their popularity spread across the ocean, even to the West.
This time, we have carefully selected masterpieces of landscape paintings left by Hokusai and Hiroshige, and put them together as a set that you can enjoy by changing the paintings according to the seasons. Landscape paintings are easy to display in Western-style rooms, and you can enjoy the changing scenery of the seasons even while inside your own home, just as if you were looking out the window.

Hiroshige Utagawa "Masaki, Forest of the Water God of the Sumida River"

Katsushika Hokusai "Under the Great Wave off Kanagawa"

Ukiyo-e prints are born from the collaboration of an artist, a carver, a printer, and a publisher who produces the work. Since its founding in 1928, the Adachi Institute of Woodblock Prints has stuck to a studio style in which the publisher, carver, and printer work under the same roof. Please take a look and enjoy the texture and vivid colors that are unique to woodblock prints, which are different from machine printing and are produced by artisans who have inherited the highly advanced woodblock printing techniques that flourished in the Edo period.
You can enjoy it by replacing it with one frame.

Although replacing ukiyo-e prints can be done smoothly once you get used to it, many people worry at first, thinking, "It seems a bit troublesome..." or "I'm not sure how to handle the picture and frame..." At Adachi Woodblock Prints, we provide easy-to-understand instructions and videos that explain little tips and tricks for replacing prints, so don't worry.
The products in the set can be changed.
To allow people who are considering purchasing a different work to also enjoy the set, the contents of the set can be freely changed from among the Adachi edition of reproduced ukiyo-e (product priced at 19,800 yen including tax).

* Casually display high-quality Ukiyo-e prints.
Adachi Woodblock Prints' reproductions of ukiyo-e prints are full-size reproductions made by modern artisans using the same techniques as those used in the Edo period. It is quite difficult to display ukiyo-e prints produced in the Edo period in your home, but with reproduction ukiyo-e prints, you can enjoy displaying them in your home just as people did back then.
* Change your decor to suit the season.
Customers who change out the artwork with each season, combining it with seasonal accessories, have said, "One of the attractions is that you can redecorate your entrance hall with just one piece of artwork" (excerpt from customer interview with Ms. M).
