World-renowned contemporary artists Antony Gormley and Kiki Smith have created original woodcut prints in collaboration with the carvers and printers of The Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints. Drawing on traditional techniques passed down since the Edo period, the project explores new possibilities for woodcut expression beyond the conventional boundaries of the medium.
These works were first presented in 2025 at the exhibition Ukiyo-e in Play, held at Hyokeikan, Tokyo National Museum, where they attracted significant attention.
We are pleased to announce a lottery sale of these original woodcut prints by the two artists.
