Linda Herritt's work explores the intersection of abstract visual elements and text, using their interactions to create a cadence, working together or at cross purposes in a particular piece. Beginning with a fragment of a narrative, she then further breaks apart text by interrupting it visually, creating tension between the acts of seeing and reading. At times the text dominates, and at other times the letters are camouflaged or fragmented by the shapes or colors in the background.

Linda Herritt is an artist. Numerous key galleries and museums such as RULE Gallery, Marfa have featured Linda Herritt's work in the past. Linda Herritt has been featured in articles for Art F City and Arte Fuse. Herritt is the recipient of a Brooklyn Artists Fund Grant for 2017. Her installations and drawings have been exhibited in one and two person exhibitions at the Smack Mellon and the Boiler (Pierogi), Brooklyn, New York; Valentine Gallery, Queens, New York; the Peter Fingesten Gallery, New York; 1K Project Space, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Pierogi, Brooklyn, New York; the San Francisco Art Institute, California; Florence Lynch Gallery, New York; The Frist Center for the Arts, Nashville, Tennessee; and Art&Idea, Mexico City, Mexico.

Careful quality and materials

Making Process & Adachi's Artisans

The production of ukiyo-e, which developed as a commercial printing method, focused on efficiency and profitability. And so, all processes are streamlined and sophisticated. We will introduce the basics of ukiyo-e techniques through the production process of Katsushika Hokusai's masterpiece "The Great Wave off Kanagawa."
