One Hundred Views of Ireland / Saint Patrick's Cathedral, The Liberties

Atsushi Kaga is a Japanese artist based in Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Kaga's unique world and its residents, who hide a bit of darkness and sarcasm in their cute appearance, are created based on the two cultural experiences of Ireland and Japan and are loved by many fans across borders. Mr. Kaga says that creating ukiyo-e as an ukiyo-e artist has been his longtime dream. "One Hundred Views of Ireland - St. Patrick's Cathedral, The Liberties" is his first woodcut print of Irish scenery created using traditional woodcut printing techniques unique to Japan. The Kaga world, one of his main characters, Usacchi, dressed in the workcloth of Kaga's respected ukiyo-e artist Kuniyoshi, and a symbol of Irish history, St. Patrick's Cathedral, are expressed by the bright yet soft colors that are the charm of woodcut prints. This is the beginning of "One Hundred Views of Ireland - St. Patrick's Cathedral, The Liberties."

The shipping of this work is scheduled for around the end of April.
