Connected to the Universe - Red Waves, Red Lines, Red Circles - a set of 3 prints
Chiharu Shiota is internationally recognized for her large-scale installation art using red or black threads, which represents life and her will to seek presence in absence. Adachi proudly announced that her first three woodcut prints, "Connected to the Universe," were completed. The universe inside and surrounds us is connected with her red threads as "Red Waves," "Red Lines," and "Red Circles." The red threads of memory woven by Ms. Shiota are fully expressed in this work with soft yet vivid colors unique to woodcut printing.
