Alison Elizabeth Taylor is an artist who produces works using a unique method of combining painting with a technique called "marquetry," which is inlay work that creates patterns and pictures by pasting thin wooden boards together. It can be said that she is typical of artists who have expanded from crafts to contemporary art in recent years, and her highly refined works have received high acclaim both in the United States and abroad.
The wood grain of the man's clothing depicted in the work "Boulevard" is expressed through an experimental method of pasting the wood grain of natural wood onto a woodblock and then printing.
